On November 4th, UCS and YK Pao played two football matches with both the women’s and men’s teams in action. The games played on the Ulink campus resulted in a 6-1 victory for UCS Men’s, whilst UCS Women’s were defeated 3-0. There were some words from the team captains:

In terms of the game, I thought we did well as a fledgling team against an established opponent in the league. Each member of the team fought hard and gave it their all to achieve a result in our first game of the new season. Regarding the result, more important than winning or losing is the opportunity for players to enjoy their football. On this basis, every game is an opportunity for us to exercise and progress. We believe in ourselves, believe in the team, and will keep training and working hard to improve. There are still many opportunities and a lot of time for the team to develop. We’ll meet future challenges with enthusiasm and a firm belief that we can strive for better results. Football is given a deeper meaning because of the existence of the team. We’ll maintain an optimistic and positive attitude and work together to fight for our goals.

I thought it was going to be a tough game, but the game went increasingly better for us over time. Everybody played well, and we were very satisfied with the result. We’ve trained frequently over the last few weeks, focusing on physical fitness. On Tuesday, we sacrificed night studies and trained specifically for this game, and I believe to be one of the key reasons behind our victory. As a team, we communicate well and are united. As a final note, I would also like to commend the opponents for their clean play.
